As a first responder who is notoriously difficult to shop for, the best gifts I have received are things that perform a task/bring utility or gifts that I can decorate my cubicle, assigned unit, locker etc and that remind me of the person who gave it to me. I have handmade stuff from my kids made during all the different ages as they’ve grown and I have them all over my workspaces.
Give a give that give utility and a reason to make it home after every shift.
